Victorian Scottish sterling silver pebble brooch set with 8 mixed cabochon cut agates, 1 central round citrine paste surrounded by 4 oval mixed cut citrine paste stones.
The sterling silver mount has been hand engraved on the front and the back is plain polished silver with the original hinged pin and C clasp. one agate has been replaced.
An absolutely fine example of Victorian Scottish craftsmanship that will be admired whenever it is worn. It's very size makes a huge statement.
The rich colours reflecting the Scottish Highlands are compatible with the winter fashions 150 years after it was made.
