Hallmarked English silver bar brooch in the form of a dagger with a silver horseshoe and rose gold ivy leaves.
The English hallmarks are visible and a great asset to this collectors piece.
A white metal pin with a C clasp is attached.
There is a lot of symbolism included in this late Victorian piece, the dagger may be indicative of the occupation of the giver, perhaps a blacksmith re-enforced by the horseshoe to bring good luck to the wearer and ivy leaves representing fidelity and marriage.
