Art Nouveau sterling silver, moonstone and mixed quartz necklace with an open scroll design centre piece set with a single, round cabochon moonstone, strung and knotted onto 8mm round mixed quartz beads and sterling silver spacers with a magnetic clasp.
Art Nouveau is a decorative style that emerged from the late 19th century into the early Edwardian period. The designs featured free flowing, curving lines and asymmetrical natural motifs, such as intertwining floral patterns. The movement tried to emphasize the beauty of stones, preferring pearls, cabochon moonstones and opals rather than faceted stones.
The ethereal and feminine quality of the centre piece is enhanced by the soft wispy quartz beads, a beautifully serene necklace that can be worn at any time
